IITA (International Institute of Tropical Agriculture), with Headquarters at Ibadan, is an International Agricultural Research Centre in the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR), which is an association of about 50 countries, international and regional organizations, and private foundations. IITA seeks to increase agricultural production in a sustainable way in order to improve the nutritional status and well-being of people in tropical Sub-Saharan Africa.The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the following positions at the Institute’s Kano Station

Position

ACCOUNTS & TREASURY OFFICER (2-year renewable contract)

(KANO STATION)

DUTIES

Successful candidate will among other things:

Maintain Imprest Account; Reconcile bank Statement of Accounts; Process Expense Claims; Raise Oracle compatible Journals; Handle all wages, assets inventory, budget and audit monitoring; Keep records and perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

BSc/HND Accounting or ICAN PE II plus at least five years working experience in the Finance Office of a large organisation.

He/she must have sound analytical mind and good knowledge of Computer Spreadsheet, Oracle applications and must be willing to put in extra hours.

Ability to communicate fluently in Hausa language is added advantage.
